About us
We are the Women & Work Desk (Vrouw & Werk Desk): the central point of contact for women and organizations with questions about work, well-being, and job satisfaction. As an initiative of Driessen Groep, we combine HR expertise with social ambition. Our mission? Women-friendly employment practices. We believe in a labor market where female talent is recognized, utilized, and enhanced. By raising awareness, we initiate a movement towards more space, recognition, and perspective for women to thrive in their work.
Why we do this
Many workplaces are still designed without considering the perspective of women. Not out of unwillingness, but from old systems that were once the norm. As a result, women often bear a double burden: from invisible expectations, hormonal ignorance, and caregiving responsibilities, to the constant need to adapt to structures that were not created for them.
This not only hinders their well-being and career progression but also affects the organization. Because a gender-friendly workplace maximizes the potential of both people and processes: higher retention, more diverse leadership, and increased innovation.

The Woman & Work Desk is an initiative by Driessen Groep, a family of companies dedicated to work that is good for people. For over 30 years, people have been at the center of everything Driessen Groep does: with care, ambition, and the belief that work contributes to well-being, development, and connection.
From that same belief, we bring attention to the theme of woman & work through the Woman & Work Desk.
